FarmaKeio NM is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician for a compounding position with a minimum of 32 hours a week. This is not your standard pharmacy position. If you prefer a high-volume grind, this is not the position you are looking for. Responsibilities: Major Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned per business need. • Maintain licensure in good standing with all applicable states. • Maintain professional competence for all duties performed. • Comply with all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws. • Perform duties in compliance with SOPs and best practices. • Receive and reduce to writing verbal prescription orders as allowed by law. • Interpret and clarify with the prescribing practitioner as necessary, prescription orders. • Input patient and prescription information and/or supervise such work as performed by others. • Create, print, and/or check documents such as prescriptions, master formulation records, compounding records, labels, and shipping documents. • Offer information and advice as appropriate to prescribers, other health care professionals, and other employees. • Create and/or check for accuracy and safety - prescription, compounding, and shipment paperwork. • Ensure and oversee all functions and staff in the compounding department. • Perform in-process and final checks of compounded and retail medications. • Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations. • In general, ensure the quality and safety of dispensed prescriptions, compounded products, and supplies. • Counsel and advise patients and caregivers concerning dispensed prescriptions. • Interact politely and effectively with patients, practitioners, and others. • Maintain USP 795 and USP 797 compliance when compounding non-sterile and sterile compounds. • Maintain the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Assure prompt and positive action on all questions, concerns, and suggestions. • Provide suggestions to improve customer service, company systems, or processes. • Interact politely and effectively with patients, practitioners, and others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • Registered pharmacy technician in good standing in the state in which the pharmacy is located. • May require registration in other states serviced by the pharmacy. • Experience in compounding pharmacy is a plus. • Superior customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills and situational awareness. • Strong attention to detail. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. • Strong computer skills. • Commitment to fiscal responsibility. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in retail or compounding pharmacy. • Computer Rx and/or LifeFile software experience. • Delivery experience. • Ability to think outside the box. • Immunization certification. • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
