    Crowley is actively hiring Assistant Engineering Officers across various fleets. All opportunities are union-based; union will be dependent upon fleet assignments.

    • MMC-

      • Basic Training
      • VPDSD
      • Required STCW Endorsements and Training
      • Assistant Engineer - Limited Oceans
      • OICEW (Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch)
      • Able Seafarer Engine
      • RFPEW (Ratings Forming Part of an Engineering Watch
    • STCW Medical Certificate – STCW Expiration Date is used

    • TWIC badge- Not to expire within three months

    • Valid Passport – Not to expire within six months

    Hitch

    • 120/120 to 90/90 - Government
    • 75/75 - Government (Stena)
    • 75/75 - Commercial Tankers
    • 45/45 - Western Alaska ATB
    • 30/30 - Crowley Tug & Barge
    • 14/14 - Ship Assist

    Travel costs covered for most fleets!

    This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and other terms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable union contract. Specific pay rates and benefits will be provided during the hiring process and are based on the terms outlined in the agreement.

  • Qualifications
    • High School diploma / G.E.D. equivalent or currently enrolled in high school or GED Program
    • Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts as required (day, evening, weekend, holiday).
    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
      • Must be authorized or have the ability to obtain authorization to work in the United States.
    • Must be able to obtain evidence of food safety certification.
    • Must be able to demonstrate ability to correctly add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
