Job Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. This includes handling Payroll preparation, leave administration, and HRIS management.
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager
_Supervisory Responsibilities: _ None
_WORK HOURS: _ 40 hours per week
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Tracks all types of employee leaves such as COVID-19 and others using Excel spreadsheets. Provides necessary forms, documents results, and electronically files documentation.
· Conducts verbal and written Verifications of Employments.
· HR Data Entry in HRIS system.
· Bi-weekly Payroll preparation to include ensuring all changes are entered into the HRIS system, Payroll spreadsheet is updated for the pay cycle and supporting documents are scanned and uploaded for Payroll.
· First point of contact for OneSite and OPS system access set-up and changes.
· Runs any routine or requested reports from HRIS system.
· First point of contact for on-line Learning Management System set-up or troubleshooting.
· Assists HR Manager with Open Enrollment duties.
· Assists Recruiting department with onboarding, on-site hiring events, job fairs, etc. as needed.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· At least 2 years of human resource experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Constant need (75% to 100% of time) to perform the following physical activities:
o Writing/Typing employee communications
o Grasping/Turning Telephone, doorknob use
o Finger Dexterity Operation of office equipment
· Lifting/Carrying (paperwork, deliveries, files, miscellaneous): Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times
· Vision: Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to complete forms, read and review reports and a wide variety of correspondence, view computer screen. Frequent need to see small detail.
· Hearing Requirements: Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to communicate over telephone and in person with employees and applicants.
· Speaking Requirements: Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to communicate over telephone and in person.
· Working Environment: Indoors (66% to 100% of the time); frequently outdoors, all conditions (33% to 66% of the time).
· Reasoning Development: HIGH. Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action. Must effectively convey ideas, images and goals to a diverse group of personalities.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
