ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our New York office to play a fundamental role within the 60 Decibels Global Finance team. The Finance Manager will join a global finance team with overall responsibility for accounting, tax and payroll functions.

The Finance Manager will report to the Director of Finance.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for the accounts receivable function including onboarding process for new global clients.
• Responsible for processes to ensure timely settlement of receivables.
• Review and monitor customer contracts for revenue recognition implications.
• Monitor completion of project deliverables to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Monitor US sales tax schedule including thresholds for registration in new states.
• Administration of sales and local tax filing in respective states.
• Payroll administrative duties; manage payroll with payroll company including deductions for retirement savings program and benefits, administrations of 401k plan etc
• Prepare month end schedules for accrued and deferred revenue.
• Accounts Payable, cost accounting and other shared responsibilities of the global finance team.
• Key role in the company’s month end and year end closing.
• Assist with audit, assist with ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the company's financial records in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assist in continuous development of newly implemented accounting software.
• Assist with company budget process.
• Other financial and administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax or related field
• Multi-state sales and local tax experience
• Experience in client billing
• Strong financial systems skills

DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• CPA qualification is a plus, but not a requirement
• Experience in preparation or oversight of payroll
• Project-based accounting
