As a legal assistant, you will assist our attorneys with legal documents, hearings, and trial preparation. You will be expected to assist with draft pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and meeting with clients. WHY JOIN 805 LAW GROUP? • A high degree of client contact • A consistent flow of excellent cases • The firm provides a highly capable support staff to assist you • Our offices are located in beautiful San Luis Obispo County • Competitive salary, bonuses, and benefits Responsibilities: Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines Work with attorneys and paralegals to create various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when requested Arrange travel, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals Qualifications: WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? • 1+ years of experience • Personal Injury, Family Law, or Criminal Law experience is a plus • Bright and creative professional with a high desire to succeed • Exemplary client service skills • Detail-oriented with strong support skills Compensation: $24 - $28 hourly
