Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action Qualifications: • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • An active member of the CalBar Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000 yearly + Bonus
