    Development Operations Associate Full-Time/Non-Exempt

    Reports to the Director of Development and Operations and supports an incredibly dedicated and versatile team! Our team is experiencing exciting growth and we are looking for a steady, solid and conscientious person who can help manage a dynamic fundraising environment with primary responsibility for data entry in Salesforce, gift processing, gift acknowledgment, and the management of multiple fundraising platforms. The Development Associate will also serve as event support during high volume periods throughout the year.

    The Development Associate role requires an individual who is detail oriented and organized with the ability to learn, navigate and maintain multiple aspects of the daily tasks needed in order to support externally focused team members. As the first voice to donors, partners and volunteers, this individual must exhibit excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and in email correspondence.

    Most importantly, this person must have a caring and empathetic view of the world with specific interest in making sure that donors, volunteers and patients feel warmly welcomed during interactions. Whether speaking with a patient, board member, donor or vendor, the position requires the utmost sensitivity and understanding of diverse perspectives.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Accurately enter donor information into Salesforce

    Represent leadership on the phone, email and written correspondence

    Serve as development support staff assisting all fundraising campaigns and events

    Create new donor accounts as needed; research and maintain both donor and

    prospect information

    Create and run reports from Salesforce for colleagues as needed

    Maintain confidentiality with a wide array of information involving donors and volunteers related to the fundraising efforts of the organization

    Assist with mailings, including printing and distribution of materials for meetings and presentations, logistics, organization and task management for leadership

    Accountable for the management of timely acknowledgment processes

    Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks and projects

    Provide operational support for special events, including some evening and weekend

    hours

    Execute and refine systems to make sure stewardship tasks are on time and

    appropriate

    Knowledge and Skills

    Experience with data management systems preferred, ideally Salesforce

    Administrative support experience in a fast-paced work environment

    Google Office suite proficiency required, as well as Excel and Word

    Proven track record in attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving

    Strong oral and written communications skills, ability to self-edit and implement

    feedback

    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to act in a

    professional manner with donors, board members and other constituents

    High level of discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines

    Details

    40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours-especially in October and leading up to March Red Carpet Gala

    Non-exempt/hourly

    9:00 AM to 5:00 PM office hours adjusted as needed for night and weekend events

    Current flexibility includes 3 days in the office, 2 remote. Subject to change.

    Starting salary is $48,000

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required

    1-2 years of related or transferrable work experience
