Interested in joining a small but fast-growing, innovative, environmentally friendly and vertically integrated manufacturer of seating for the contract furniture market?  You would be joining a very close-knit team where you would be the web application programmer for this fast-growing multi-plant business. This position is located in our State-of-the-Art Leed Gold Hawthorne, CA manufacturing facility. 

You will primarily be responsible for designing and developing rich user-focused applications that integrate with our ERP system and that extend the functionality of the system to make our Sales and Production departments more efficient and successful.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design , Develop and enhance rich user-focused web based applications that integrate with our Visual Enterprise ERP system which will allow us to track every step in the Sales, Production, Purchasing, Shipping and Inventory processes.
• Work closely with your manager and colleagues in the design, development, testing and implementation phases of the applications’ development life cycle to make sure there is complete understanding and signoff of the application requirements and the proposed solution.
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• Maintain a core development environment that allows for tracking of all source code changes with the ability to collaborate and do code reviews and testing before releasing code changes to the production environment. This also includes making decisions about the best programming tools to use in the various applications and systems in use at our facilities.
• Work with sales and production personnel to understand how they perform the functions of their job and use this knowledge to create applications that make their business lives easier.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five years of programming experience designing and coding web based applications
• Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
• Prior experience with such languages as C/C++, C#, ASP, Visual Basic, .NET,  MVC, WPF
• Experience with TFS, HTML5, CSS3, JAVAScript, JQuery, Angular JS, SQL script, SSRS a plus
• Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..) is needed.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to help design and document requirements for various projects.
• Strong grasp of cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles and Object-Oriented Design.
