    Job Description

    The program manager provides programmatic support to the 711th Human Performance Wing, USAF School of Aerospace Medicine under the surveillance of ET Deputy Chair. The position is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and is part of a diverse workforce of military, civilian and contractor personnel encompassing 75 occupational specialties including science and engineering, occupational health and safety, medical professions, technicians, educators, and business operations and support.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·         Use program management milestones and provide cost, schedule and performance metrics to ensure transition of the program is on time and cost appropriate. 

    ·         Raise questions, concerns and any other issues identified with the transition of the AE program leadership.

    ·         Attend/support meetings related to expertise with government and civilian organizations, academia, and subject matter experts.

    ·         Utilize an appropriate combination of correspondence, publications, personnel media, guides, pamphlets, meetings, telephone calls, information letters and briefings to publicize the education course plan at all Air Force levels, to registrants and the functional community, taking into consideration such things as funding, the target audience, the message to be transmitted, time constraints, etc.

    ·         Participate in scheduled team meetings by providing updates on the transition of the courses.

    ·         Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all En Route Care Training personnel.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·         Professional Certification in Project or Program Management

    ·         Minimum of 3 years of Project Management Experience

    ·         Experience in teaching or instructing

    ·         3 years of professional experience specific to military environments preferred

    ·         Experience working in en route care and/or flight nurse or technician strongly preferred

    ·         Interest in aeromedical evacuation is preferred

    ·         Must be a US Citizen

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    ·         Knowledge of military organization and culture

    ·         Skill in preparing project papers, staff reports and decision papers; and skill and ability in organizing and delivering briefings to senior leadership, managers, work groups, higher HQ

    ·         Skill in collecting data and conducting substantial problem analysis and program evaluation

    ·         Professional knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, or methodologies of health sciences to plan, coordinate, conduct and integrate evidence-based education and training programs, including project development and execution, training, analytical evaluation, and advisory services.  Focus will be in Aeromedical Evacuation training.
