Powder Coating facility in Hunt Valley (Baltimore), MD. is seeking a well-qualified Sales Account Manager with at least three (3) years of experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of powder coating processes and job costing is a plus. The ideal candidate is energetic, works well with people, is well organized and pays attention to detail.
The Sales Account Manager will seek out new sales opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region as well as managing our existing customers. Key job functions will include relationship building, researching the local market and project future opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate professionally with customers.
Local Travel to customer locations as required.
Ability to prepare detailed sales proposals.
Ability to collaborate with when preparing sales proposals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Cold calling/ planning to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
- Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Gathering market and customer information
- Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
- Overcoming any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and assist in providing customers with quotations on time. Pitching with the right price, not always giving the lowest quote.
- Liaising with plant manager to check the progress & monitor existing/pending orders
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
- Should be proactive.
