    SENIOR ACCOUNTING ANALYST

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Summary

    Our company is looking to fill an immediate need for a Senior Accounting Analyst. As a valued member of our team, the Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing the assigned accounting functions and systems. This role also serves as a consultant for managers within the organization, advising them of current budgetary information and working with managers to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including the following; other duties may be assigned)

    Responsible for supervising assigned accounting procedures of the company.

    Audit the work of the accounting department, as directed.

    Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting.

    Responsible for the development of policies, systems, special financial studies, etc. of major importance.

    Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization.

    Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization

    Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.

    Perform analytics to understand business trends and drive decision making

    Assist in month-end close, including preparation of financials, reconciliation of accounts, and reclassifications to the general ledger

    Coordinate periodic closing process and prepare supporting schedules and work papers for financial review and financial audits

    Evaluate current policies and practices within the department and strive to drive continuous improvement, research, and analyses in all accounting matters

    Identify projects as part of the continuous improvement program, including the utilization of technology and financial systems to streamline business processes

    Education/Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience, plus 3 years of accounting and analytical experience.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Master’s degree in accounting or finance.

    CPA designation.

    Presentation skills.

    Language Skills

    Candidate must have effective communication skills in the English language in both written and verbal form.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Travel

    This position requires up to 5% travel.
