PAY RATE: $16

HOURS: Full time - Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm or 9am-5:30pm

*WILL WORK FROM HOME UNTIL TEAM GOES BACK INTO OFFICE

SUMMARY

•  Intake processor for outpatient, DME, Pre-elective and home health Prior Authorization request
•  Must adhere to all company and department policies and guidelines.
• Make outbound calls to providers for medical records and verifying information requested to ensure PA request is processed accurately

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list.
• Route to appropriate staff when needed.
• Verify eligibility and benefits
• Answer phone queues and process faxes within established standards
• Data enters authorizations into the system

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of healthcare experience
• Medi-cal background as well as prior auth intake experience preferred
• Billing and coding experience preferred
