Currently recruiting a full-time day Registered Nurse III (RN) Progressive Care Unit in San Antonio, Texas, to work at the #1 ranked hospital in the area. The hospital has over 350 beds and they offer a broad range of services from cardiology, bone marrow transplant, emergency medicine, and many many more.
Job Responsibilities of the PCU RN:
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive, timely, and ongoing focused physical, psycho-social and pain assessments; includes assessment of patient education needs.
- Planning: Utilizes the assessment, identifies problems, makes nursing diagnoses and formulates goals, teaching plans and outcomes to create an individualized plan of care.
- Evaluation/Reassessment: Consistently conducts timely evaluation, anticipates and recognizes changes in patient conditions, determines when reassessments are needed and adjusts the plan of care accordingly. Compares expected and achieves outcomes of nursing care utilizing the plan of care.
- Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, ancillary department, and other customers.
Qualifications and Education for the PCU RN:- Graduate from an accredited diploma, associates, or bachelor s degree nursing program.
- RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- BLS healthcare provider.
- 2 years of clinical experience as an RN and 2 years of experience in telemetry.
Compensation and Benefits for the PCU RN:- Salary: $26.78-$37.74, depends on experience.
