    RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    • Write a weekly column presenting television news and updates focused on people of color.    

    • Write a monthly column highlighting the history of people of color in television.

    • Write occasional television series reviews.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The TV Writer I will cover television-related content for the site as it identifies with and relates to A HOT SET’S target demographic: people of color.

    The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in writing about news and behind the scenes developments for broadcast, cable, and online television networks.

    The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in writing about the history of television.

    The candidate should possess an aptitude/interest in reviewing television series from various genres.

    The candidate also should possess critical and intellectual thinking skills to write socially relevant fact-based commentary.

    START DATE: ASAP

    DURATION: 6 months

    The internship is Virtual and unpaid. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.

    NOTE: Metro Los Angeles and New York City residents strongly encouraged to apply, but location not required.
