Associate Entertainment Writer Intern (Woman's Site)
Job Description
Are you the Alonso Duralde (The Warp), Jamey Giddens (Daytime Confidential), Owen Gleiberman (Variety), Carolyn Hinsey (Soap Opera Digest) or Marlena de Lacroix (legendary columnist) of the next generation?
The Associate Entertainment Writer interns will cover all content related to the four daytime drama series The Bold and The Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and The Restless. They will also cover short film and web series releases.
Qualifications
The candidates should possess an interest/passion in writing about daytime dramas.
The candidates be highly opinionated and eager to express their opinions about the dramas they review.
The candidates should be able to discuss what is happening both on screen and behind the scenes, covering the actions of the characters while keeping an eye on the show’s production.
The candidate should be familiar with independent content creation, as they will be writing about short films & self-funded web series related content as it relates to_ SOMMET DAME'S_ target demographic.
The candidates should possess the knowledge and ability to cover a variety of genres and backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES (AE WRITER I):
Write a weekly column that reviews The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
Write a biweekly column that focuses on independent short films, scripted or animated.
DURATION: 6 months or longer.
This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
