    Job Description

    The Health Journalist intern will cover all health, fitness, and wellness content as it relates to MAN OF THE HOUR’S target demographic. 

    The candidate must possess an aptitude/interest in writing well-researched generationally focused health-related subjects. 

    The candidate must possess an aptitude/interest in writing well-researched fitness topics specific to our readers’ needs. 

    The candidate must possess an aptitude/interest in writing well-researched topics focused on mental health. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    DIGITAL

    • Write a bi-weekly article covering fitness and physical health-related subjects. 

    • Write a monthly article on mental health awareness.

     

    MAGAZINE

    • Write one fitness/physical health-related article and one mental health article for the bi-annual magazine.

    DURATION: 6 months

    OFFICIAL START DATE: ASAP

    This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Preferably applicants should be a college undergraduate or graduate studying journalism or English (or a related field) and have prior writing/reporting experience with your school newspaper or another publication. All internships last for 6 months or longer (negotiable). Recent college graduates or dedicated writers/bloggers are also welcome to apply.

    NOTE: Metro New York, Los Angeles & San Francisco residents strongly encouraged to apply, but location not required.
