    Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a long-standing and highly reputable commercial and industrial mechanical and plumbing contractor in Rochester to recruit an A/P Specialist.

    Position Summary:

    The A/P Specialist reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing all the Accounts Payable functions, including managing invoices, proper documentation, managing and tracking W-9s and 1099’s, job costing, and filing sales and use tax returns, and assisting with audits.

    Responsibilities:

    • Verify pricing and quantities on all invoices for compliance with purchase orders.
    • Review and match invoices with Field Requisitions (Note Company limits and proper approvals)
    • Enter all invoices into the Accounting System
    • Print checks for invoices and payables weekly. Process proper documentation for approval and signatures.
    • Maintain proper files (both paper and electronically) in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
    • Work with projects teams and departments to resolve invoice/payment issues. Handle and Track W-9 from Vendors and issue 1099 annually.
    • Familiar with job costing and multi-state sales tax.
    • File monthly/quarterly/annual sales and use tax returns.
    • Assist in year end and sales/use tax audits.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • 5 years’ experience with Accounts Payable and Cost tracking utilizing Computer Accounting Systems.
    • Proven ability in processing, inputting and tracking project costs.
    • Self-starting, strong attention to detail, and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
    • A good understanding of applicable Bell policies and procedures.
    • Must be able to verbally communicate, take direction and follow through on all tasks.
    • Ability to plan and organize activities.
  • Compensation
    $50,000-$70,000 per year
