Ever wondered how to solve a Rubik's Cube? Are you a big fan of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal? Do you know about Axoltls and if you do not, would you like to learn about them? Do you feel the need for the newest, latest, greatest Apple products? Any interest in playing Genshin Impact or listening to Dubstep music? Well if you answered yes to any of these questions above, then I have the job for you! Our 12 year-old son was just recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and he needs your attention. He is high-functioning and his ASD symptoms show up in the form of (1) his fear of new foods and (2) difficulty in controlling his emotions... but hey, who wouldn't want to eat sweets and cry if they want to? He needs a caregiver/companion who he can 'hang with', play games, take walks, go swimming and chat it up with between 3-6:30pm Monday-Thursday while his dad finishes his work day. Don't worry - our son doesn't need company the week of Thanksgiving or the week between Christmas and New Years. Sounds awesome, right? Well, here's the thing... he'll be attending a Behavioral Therapy program at UCLA's Resnick Psychiatric Hospital each weekday from 8:15-2:15pm, so that means he'll be tired and may need some extra support and understanding once he gets home. He's not aggressive towards others, but he can be really emotionally hard on himself - so an occasional pep-talk will go a long way in helping to boost his confidence.
