    Job Description

    Multiple "Benefits Customer Service Representative" openings with a global company offering outsource solutions to some of the world's leading organizations.  In this work-from-home/remote position, you will help guide client members through the enrollment process as it pertains to their health care and/or pension plans using a variety of online tools.   ** MULTIPLE OPENINGS WITH REMOTE STATUS ** ** INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC TRAINING PROVIDED **   JOB SUMMARY:

    • Quickly build rapport and respond to client inquiries via phone, email and instant message (inbound call center setting) while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy at all times
    • Respond to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner and ensure appropriate action is taken, with accurate documentation of case notes
    • Explain benefit plan options, translating complex health care and/or pension plan information into simple explanations and instructions for client to act upon
    • Research complex client account issues, determine appropriate action, and follow up to ensure effective resolution
    • Become knowledgeable with client plan documents and online training tools to determine appropriate support for immediate client needs, as well as future

    QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Minimum 2 years work experience in a customer service setting, with verifiable references
    • Previous call center experience a plus (but not required)
    • Strong proficiency with web-based computer applications (including Windows 7 and MSOffice), instant messaging/web chat systems, type 30-40wpm
    • Ability to multi-task effectively, using multiple programs/open windows while providing customer support via phone and messaging
    • Professional, articulate and concise verbal communication skills are a must. Spanish-bilingual fluency a plus!
    • Strong written communication skills required, including ability to compose professional correspondence and case notes
    • Ability to accurately assess client concerns/issues and formulate response/resolution using analytical and problem solving skills, while adhering to company policy
    • Maintain confidentiality, using sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws, and data security compliance
    • Ability to customize your approach based on client communication styles - including escalated callers - while consistently maintaining professionalism and diplomacy
    • Must possess HS Diploma (or equivalency of), Bachelor's or Associate degree a plus
    • Must be able to successfully pass Background Check requirements

    WORK-FROM-HOME REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

    • Reliable Internet connection
    • Private work area with closed door

    COMPENSATION: Long-term seasonal positions paying $17.00 per hour, or $17.75 per hour if Spanish-bilingual.  Potential for extension and/or Full-time hire in future, yet must be comfortable with long-term seasonal/temporary status at outset. Healthcare benefits available through A-Star Staffing.   SHIFT: Monday-Friday schedule of 30-40 hours per week, with shifts between 6:00AM-6:00PM.  You must be flexible to accommodate any/all shifts in this time frame as business needs dictate.
