    MULTI-SKILLED (MECHANIC/ELECTRICIAN) MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

    • $1500 RETENTION BONUS FOR NEW HIRES AND QUALIFYING REHIRES
    • STARTING AT $25.36/HOUR WITH REGULAR WAGE PROGRESSIONS TO $29.25/HOUR PLUS AN EXTRA $1/HOUR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR NIGHT SHIFT
    • NO MANDATORY OVERTIME ON SCHEDULED 48 HOUR WORK WEEKS

    This role conducts, designs, installs, maintains, tests, adjusts, and repairs mechanical and electrical components throughout the plant and warehouses in a timely fashion to ensure that production is minimally impacted. Applies knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Full-time position 12 Hour shifts working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks.

    HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

    • Conducting, designing, installing, maintaining, testing, adjusting and repairing mechanical and electrical components throughout the premises.
    • Performing root cause analysis when issues arise to determine what appropriate actions are taken
    • Planning and laying out of new installations
    • Operating various PIVs, including fork lifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts
    • Applying mechanical and electrical principles in determining equipment malfunction and repair
    • 12 Hour shifts working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks. A/B shifts work from 7 am to 7 pm. C/D shifts work from 7 pm to 7 am.

    • Performing essential functions of the job: standing for long periods, push/pull depending on job, lifting, twisting, turning, bending, and working in hot and cold environments

    Required Skills

    WHY YOU WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THIS JOB:

    • You like learning new things and working in a fast paced environment!

    • You have a minimum 3 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial setting

    • You’re able to successfully complete a mechanical and electrical assessment

    • Thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes

    • You have general computer knowledge, including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, databases and various manufacturing application

    • You can read complex electrical and mechanical schematics, blue prints and operating manuals

    • You enjoy trouble-shooting and working through complex puzzles

    • You’re an awesome team player with a strong work ethic

    • You’re 18 years old or older and have earned a high school diploma OR your GED

    • An Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred
