    OCOM HOSPITAL/OCOM IMAGING, WALKER LOCATION

    LOCATION: 230 SW 80th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139

    STATUS: Full Time with benefits and 401k company match

    HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY, 9AM-5PM

     

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:  

    Perform Imaging, CT scans and X-rays in a high quality, timely and professional manner with optimal patient care.

     KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Interview and prepare patients for diagnostic exams.
    2. Set up equipment and prepare exam to be performed.
    3. Position and set up patients for exam being performed.
    4. Administer contrast, if necessary, and inform patients about the contrast agent used.
    5. Maintain accurate documentation of the use of the intra-office medications and emergency treatment supplies.
    6. Film exam and prepare films for doctors to view along with archiving exam and transmitting it to the doctors and appropriate viewing stations.
    7. Re-film any previous studies if needed.
    8. Restock exam room when needed and make sure everything is kept neat and clean.
    9. Provide excellent patient care and safety.
    10. Provide a comfortable and professional atmosphere for all patients.
    11. Provide accurate procedures within the guidelines of the set protocols.
    12. Complete and examine patient loss records to identify weak areas in the overall patient care process.
    13. Communicate with vendors for scheduled maintenance and major office repair.
    14. Perform quality control and quality assurance to adhere to the American College of Radiology Standards, as well as ensuring accurate equipment performance.
    15. Help to ensure all technologists are performing at optimal performance levels.
    16. Experiment with protocols to provide high quality scans in a timely manner.
    17. Order supplies and equipment necessary for all technical duties.
    18. Communicate equipment problems with proper resources and ensure equipment is performing properly.
    19. Maintain a positive work environment.
    20. Perform any other tasks as requested.
    21. Inform chief technologist of diminishing supplies.
    22. Help fellow technologists in whatever means necessary.
    23. Evening Technologist should perform a “walkthrough” to assure the office is ready for the next day’s business.
    24. Answer telephones in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. Triage calls and assist caller or direct caller to appropriate personnel.
    25. Greet patients and/or visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    26. Represent OCOM Imaging in a professional and friendly manner to patients, physicians, outside office personnel, fellow coworkers and general public.
    27. Keep work area clean and orderly.
    28. Perform light housekeeping as time permits.
    29. Perform minor office maintenance and repair as necessary.
    30. Assist in the upkeep of the equipment and the grounds.
    31. Ensure proper completion of paperwork.
    32. Assist with filing and/or office duties as time permits.
    33. Assist all OCOM Imaging personnel in any means necessary to ensure that the day-to-day operations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
    34. Maintain and improve office professionalism by setting a positive example and giving recommendations when necessary.

     

    Required Skills

    LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:

    1. BCLS, if not current, certification within 90 days of hire.
    2. Current OK ARRT license.

     

     

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    1. Prefer 1-3 years previous Imaging experience.
