    We are currently seeking a dynamic medical office professional that can assume many responsibilities with ease and flexibility. The BUSINESS OFFICE, FRONT OFFICE FLOAT role is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary. Many duties includes scheduling, patient calls, medical records, chart building, patient registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, A/R follow up, payment posting, charge entry and any other business office duty as required. We are looking for an integrated business office professional who can interact well with patients, patient's families, physicians and physician offices. This is a fast-paced environment that is driven to reach the highest quality patient satisfaction outcomes. We are actively reviewing and selecting candidates for interview. This is a great opportunity to be cross-trained in many related medical facility administrative functions.

    The duties of the inter-related, cross-function duties for which we require for this role follows below.

    A successful candidate will possess outstanding multi-tasking abilities, communication and teamwork as well as the ability to keep up in a fast paced working environment. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Registration specialists help assign patients to the schedule and carry out procedures to admit patients. They also input patient information into the computer system and verify necessary physician referrals and insurance authorizations. They verify insurance prior to patient's arrival.

    • Obtains pre-certification from the physician offices for procedures that require them

    • Requests H&Ps from referring physician offices if needed

    • Filing lab results and patient charts

    • Calculating and collecting financial prepay prior to procedure

    • Ensures all required forms are placed in designated areas of the patients chart

    • Daily preparation of charts for the next day's surgeries within required deadline

    • Out-bound collection calls to patients regarding their medical invoice/bill, answering questions and setting up payment plans.

    • Utilization of various collection strategies and methodologies to contact patients in order to collect payment in full or prepare payment arrangements on debt within federal, state and client collection guidelines and laws.

    • Knowledge of health care financing and Medical Collections preferred.

    • Minimum 2-5 years of hospital or medical office experience required.
    • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
    • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
    • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the hospital as a whole.
    • Extreme multi tasker.
    • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
