    ENTRY LEVEL position. 3-2-2-3 schedule.  EVERY OTHER weekend off!  $16.48 per hour.  $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS (paid every other month for first year)!  FULL BENEFITS 1 month after date of hire.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Feeder Catcher performs job duties within the Finishing Department. They are responsible for supporting the finishing department with quality of the folding operation to meet customer specifications and production schedule. Responsible for placing paper board cartons into feeding machines. Picking up paper board material and cartons from the end line, and placing cartons into boxes.

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

     Review and follow directions on job jacket per job run.

     Supply feed section of equipment with carton blanks enabling gluer to maintain a continuous run.

     Visually inspect cartons before packing into corrugated cases.

     Report any quality issues or equipment defects to the line operator.

     Perform quality checks as required.

     Review palletizing specifications from job jackets and follow directions.

     Apply labels to cases.

     Ensure accurate quantities are packed.

     Obtain corrugated supplies form the staging areas.

     Communicate required information to co-workers and manager.

     Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

     Follow safety rules and regulations.

     Follow department and company policies and procedures.

     Report all food safety and quality problems to the Operator, Department Lead, Manager or Quality Team.

     May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     Previous experience in a high speed packaging environment with quality inspection responsibilities.

     Good counting skills.

     Must be able to read and review all paper instructions and labeling requirements

    • Able to work outdoors

    • Body mobility great enough to move about to help stock sales floor, wait on customers, and sell merchandise

    • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces

    • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds in order to help stock sales floor

    • Able to climb stairs, a ladder, and step stool daily with merchandise items

    • Must have finger dexterity great enough to allow clerk to handle money, carry small merchandise items, and operate cash register efficiently

    • Able to learn cash register/POS System operation, and a calculator in order to service guests and reconcile money exchanges

    • Must have reading and writing skills great enough to allow clerk to comprehend and perform cash handling procedures and complete daily cash register reconciliation paperwork

    • Able to analyze and remember information and make decisions in order to operate cash register efficiently and solve guests’ problems effectively (i.e., returns, refunds, and exchanges)

    • Able to use color and depth perception in order to arrange displays, locate merchandise, and to offer suggestions on merchandise items for guest

    • Able to tolerate noise and stress to accommodate waiting on large numbers of customers

    • Able to withstand various climatic conditions (i.e., humidity/wetness, dryness/sunlight) due to lack of temperature-controlled shops and location of outdoor carts

    • Able to perform other functions as assigned by management
