    At BMC, the Marketing Automation Manager will play a significant role in our demand generation strategy, owning campaign development and execution with the goals of brand awareness, lead generation, new customer acquisition, and expanding share of wallet with existing accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, driven by metrics. The Marketing Automation Manager is very self-motivated with the ability to work well independently, but also regularly interact with multiple internal and external teams and agencies. 

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Plan, create, and execute lead generating marketing campaigns that align with company and business unit objectives, sales goals, and content needs at each stage of the sales funnel.
    2. Create dynamic lists based on demographic and firmographic data and behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions and develop relevant customer engagement strategies.
    3. Subject matter expert on Salesforce Pardot and the go-to resource for marketing campaigns. Understand and manage the connection points between Pardot and Sales Cloud.
    4. Develop and execute email marketing and drip campaigns that reach specific customer segments. Concept, write, and manage delivery of emails.
    5. Develop and manage a marketing framework for digitally onboarding new customers, driving repeat business, and increasing customer wallet share.
    6. Collaborate with sales to build a model for lead scoring and identifying MQLs and SQLs to establish a measurable quality standard for driving qualified leads.
    7. Generate reports in Pardot and Sales Cloud and regularly review campaign performance metrics with the marketing team and key stakeholders, including leads and marketing ROI by campaign, channel, and source.
    8. Develop a deep understanding of relevant industry buyer journeys across the entire lifecycle from awareness to advocacy and the data attributes that drive effective segmentation and targeting strategies.
    9. Manage the overall campaign calendar and work with key stakeholders to set priorities.
    10. Work with key business leaders to translate specific business unit requirements into effective, metrics-driven campaigns and growth strategies.
    11. Collaborate with marketing team on new initiatives to drive healthy email list growth and support retention.
    12. Measure, analyze and optimize lead nurturing performance by leveraging A/B and multivariate testing strategies.
    13. Document, manage, and maintain strict governance for the Pardot platform organization and data management – naming conventions, folder and permission structure, user management, and data health, cleanliness and integrity – and ensure compliance related to email deliverability and ever-evolving privacy policies.
    14. Work with designers and developers to create and maintain a library of HTML/CSS email and landing page templates compatible across email clients, web browsers, and mobile devices.
    15. Partner with marketing/brand team to ensure adherence to brand standards and consistency in voice and messaging across various touchpoints.
    16. Partner with IT and external vendors on platform integrations.
    17. Manage, mentor, and develop marketing associates.
    18. Provide a weekly status report update on all current projects.
    19. Other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Skills

    1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a comparable course of study.
    2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    3. Demonstrated ability to create content by writing, editing copy and guiding design to align with brand strategy and persona-based campaign goals.
    4. Solid grasp of the marketing funnel and lead generation best practices for B2B.
    5. Exhibits ability to move between the strategic and creative side of campaign development to the analytical side of metrics and reporting.
    6. Adept in marketing automation best practices related to template design, segmentation, dynamic content, and testing strategies.
    7. Strong sense of brand aesthetics.
    8. Microsoft Office proficient.
    9. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software products.
    10. Meticulous attention to detail and flawless execution.
    11. Self-motivated, high energy, results oriented with excellent communication skills.
    12. Ability to adapt and stay positive in a fast moving, ever-evolving environment.
    13. Ability to build solid working relationships.
    14. Skillset to manage multiple projects and drive them to completion based on established goals, deadlines, and budgets.
    15. Capable of solving complex problems and desire to stay up to date with new marketing practices.

    Required Experience

    1. 5-7 years of hands-on experience building B2B campaigns and working in marketing automation tools (preferably 2+ years with Salesforce Pardot).
    2. 1-3 years of working HTML and CSS knowledge. Strong understanding of the interconnectivity between Salesforce Pardot and Sales Cloud.
    3. 1-2 years of personnel management.
    4. Proven experience building custom reports in Sales Cloud and Pardot.
