JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Pricing and Contracts Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating pricing decisions for New Business Opportunities, RFP’s, Price Challenges (ROFRs), Short Dates, and One Time Buys.

PRICING AND CONTRACTS ANALYST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

· Maintain pricing databases, including, but not limited to existing customer pricing, market pricing, standardized bid levels, floor pricing, pricing tiers, etc.

· Prepare pricing for customer RFPs for internal review and develop pricing strategies for new product proposals.

· Provide analysis to management and key functional areas on pricing trends, opportunities, and results based on independent pricing decisions implemented.

· Utilize transactional systems of record (SAP, Vistex) whenever possible to ensure validity and reliability of data and analysis.

· Update pricing compendia upon launch or list pricing changes

· Update pricing databases and notify customer wholesalers of indirect contract changes/additions

QUALIFICATIONS - SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent direct experience

· Minimum of 2 year's previous contract and/or pricing experience preferred in the generic pharmaceutical sector that may include experience with generic manufacturers, wholesaler, distributors, etc.

· Strong understanding of generic pharmaceutical pricing metrics, customer classes of trade, and a general understanding of wholesale and retail pharmacy business

· Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize large amounts of data, identify trends and provide market insight

· Proven ability to work cross-functionally with diverse groups and areas of expertise

· Ability to work independently, setting goals and driving deliverables

· Must have previous hands-on knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc), IMS, and pricing compendia

· Proven experience with ERP platform services such as Vistex and SAP

· Experience with analytics and business intelligence tools (i.e. Power BI) preferred
