    Qlarant is a not-for-profit corporation that partners with public and private sectors to create high quality, safe, and efficient delivery of health care and human services programs.  We have multiple lines of business including population health, utilization review, managed care organization quality review, and quality assurance for programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities.  Qlarant is a national leader in fighting fraud, waste and abuse for large organizations across the country.

    Qlarant has immediate openings for Project Managers to serve as single contract points of contact with/for Veterans Health Administration (VHA) requests for subject matter expert (SME) support and any matter related to the contractor performance.  Experience successfully managing a large-scale program, encompassing multiple projects, with a total life-cycle budget and comparable to VHA complexities is required.  Such experience will include planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out programs in support of an agency's mission.  

     

    This is a full-time regular position with excellent benefits.  The selected candidate(s) will be home-based in the DC area and live close enough to attend meetings in DC on short notice.  

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties similar in level and scope may be assigned based on the specifics of the project and/or client contract.

    • Single contractor point of contact with/for the Veteran's Health Administration requests for SME support and any matter related to contractor performance
    • Reviews project proposal or plan to have knowledge of project requirements, procedures for accomplishing project and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
    • Assists in establishing work and staffing and assignment plans for each phase of project.
    • Maintains and manages electronic and hardcopy of contract deliverable files.
    • Monitors and coordinates deliverables ensuring completion and timely reporting of deliverables.
    • Develops and utilizes management tools to identify issues and trends, suggesting responses.
    • Is aware of the project activity due dates and sends appropriate alerts to assigned personnel to ensure project is on schedule.
    • Monitors and coordinates the activities of the project to ensure project progresses on schedule and deliverables are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Maintains working knowledge of customer needs and contract requirements, deliverables, and the resources required.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The position may manage the activities of a project/s and handle day-to-day affairs of a team, but is not responsible for the long-term traditional functions of a direct manager as this is an individual contributor position.

    • COMPUTER SKILLS - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet, Presentation, Word Processing software. Familiarity with Access and Project Management software a plus.

    • Must possess knowledge of the structure and operations of the content area/program area, have demonstrated superior management skills and the ability to plan, implement, and complete projects.
    • Superior organizational skills, and an ability to work with multi-disciplines and external customer on a regular basis and the ability to integrate with the activities of several different professionals on multiples projects.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external people at all levels in the organization.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Experience successfully managing a large-scale program, encompassing multiple projects, with a total life-cycle budget and comparable to VHA complexities.  Such experience shall include planning, initiating, managing, executing and closing out programs in support of an agency’s mission.

    Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is required with at least four years’ experience supporting a large corporation or government agency, preferably a large Health Care organization.  

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    Active and current Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar in quality with a minimum of for year's experience.
