Staff Accountant

Full-time, Monday - Friday, In-office (8 AM - 5 PM)

Salary: $65,000+ (Dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage and process AP/AR transactions with a thorough understanding and experience in these areas.
• Microsoft Excel: Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
• Job Costing: Assist with job costing within the construction industry.
• Software Proficiency: Comfortably work with various software applications, with Computer Ease experience strongly preferred.
• Payroll: Handle payroll processing or demonstrate a willingness to learn payroll functions.
• Month-End Close: Participate in month-end close procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Administrative Functions: Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: * A 4-year degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Experience: * Prior experience in AP/AR is required. * Experience in job costing and the construction industry is highly desirable. * Previous payroll experience or a willingness to learn is essential. * Experience with month-end close procedures is necessary.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required. Familiarity with Computer Ease is a plus.
• Other Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check.
