  • Responsibilities

    Job Purpose

    The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources and Production team. This position will perform various office and administrative tasks relevant to Human Resources or other departments, as needed.

    Duties may include any or all of the following.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities To include but not limited to)

    • Carries out and coordinates advertising, recruitment, interview, and selection procedures; develops job announcements, interview materials; reviews background checks, responds to applicant calls.
    • Conducts the employee orientation, assists with training translations and scheduling recordkeeping.
    • Data entry of all personal records into UKG, AAK People and Who is Who that will be used to maintain records for all employees to provide comprehensive, efficient, accurate, and current records of all matters relating to employment, transfer, tenure, retirement, leave, promotion, etc.
    • Interacts with staff to define, prioritize, and assist with the execution of multiple tasks and activities required to meet deadlines.
    • Maintains and/or creates administrative and personnel files or record keeping systems, to include sorting, labeling, filing, and retrieving documents, or other materials.
    • Prepare and/or process documents for filing or data entry; will review for accuracy and completeness; update information and/or evaluate against policy.
    • Provide clerical/administrative support to the HR Manager; duties include but not limited to emailing, scanning, faxing, mailing, filing, photocopying.
    • May maintain calendars, schedules and coordinate appointments as needed.
    • Writes or drafts correspondence, via emails, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
    • Reviews incoming correspondence: initiates reply as appropriate; routes matters requiring action by staff or other and follows up to ensure actions are completed.
    • Maintains proper notes of meetings or discussions, dialogue, etc., to understand processes.

    Produces document in final format as needed.

    • Assists with employee relations, communications, and services.
    • Assist in benefits administration, processing invoices and recordkeeping.
    • Assists with employee recognition programs as necessary.
    • Assist with employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health.
    • Prepares correspondence independently or from oral instruction.
    • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.

    Relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential for effective communication.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
    • MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Knowledge base of various employment laws and practices.
    • Attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Exemplifies personal integrity.
    • Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
    • Responsive to staff needs, including professionalism, respect, and consideration of others.
    • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality.
    • Ability to lift/carry items / materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
    • Understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions which may include adverse material of a sensitive nature.

    Working Conditions

    The job is performed in both a standard office and manufacturing plant environment.

    May be exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and heat.

    Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel toed shoes, appropriate clothing) is required in manufacturing plant. Activities include extended periods of sitting and standing.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with management and co-workers is critical.

    Regular use of a variety of measuring tools, a telephone, and e-mail for communication is essential.

    Standing or sitting for extended periods is common.

    Light work, including continuous activities such as walking, reaching, standing, or bending. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines or measuring tools is required.
