    Job Description Summary

    Job Description

    • Proficient in assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels for electrical equipment maintenance.
    • Execute rigging activities, safety protocols, and various electrical tasks.
    • Demonstrate adeptness in utilizing both hand and power shop tools in a safe manner.
    • Showcase mechanical expertise.
    • Skilled in programming Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s).
    • Capable of operating a forklift and manlift safely and efficiently.
    • Possess knowledge and troubleshooting proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
    • Physically capable of working at heights, such as ladders, scaffolds, and roofs, to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
    • Proficient in testing electrical systems and ensuring circuit continuity in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using devices like ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to guarantee system safety and compatibility.
    • Perform duties in a dynamic work environment that may involve exposure to heat, cold, dirt, and a fast-paced setting.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with machine operators and set up personnel for equipment troubleshooting.
    • Perform any other assigned duties.

    Required Skills and Education

    • Hold a valid four-year journeyperson electrical card or provide documentation of 8 years of relevant job experience on company letterhead.

    • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.

    • Possess a certified journeyperson’s card (or equivalent contractual Journeyperson status) or provide documentation of a minimum of eight years of trade experience from previous employers on company letterhead.

    • Flexibility to work overtime and a flexible schedule as required within the union facility agreement.

    • Availability to work any shift as required.

    • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including drug testing.
