- Proficient in assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels for electrical equipment maintenance.
- Execute rigging activities, safety protocols, and various electrical tasks.
- Demonstrate adeptness in utilizing both hand and power shop tools in a safe manner.
- Showcase mechanical expertise.
- Skilled in programming Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s).
- Capable of operating a forklift and manlift safely and efficiently.
- Possess knowledge and troubleshooting proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
- Physically capable of working at heights, such as ladders, scaffolds, and roofs, to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Proficient in testing electrical systems and ensuring circuit continuity in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using devices like ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to guarantee system safety and compatibility.
- Perform duties in a dynamic work environment that may involve exposure to heat, cold, dirt, and a fast-paced setting.
- Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with machine operators and set up personnel for equipment troubleshooting.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Required Skills and Education
Hold a valid four-year journeyperson electrical card or provide documentation of 8 years of relevant job experience on company letterhead.
Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess a certified journeyperson’s card (or equivalent contractual Journeyperson status) or provide documentation of a minimum of eight years of trade experience from previous employers on company letterhead.
Flexibility to work overtime and a flexible schedule as required within the union facility agreement.
Availability to work any shift as required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including drug testing.
