Job Description
- Support of AAM's Safety and Quality programs
- Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills and statistical ability
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, materials and equipment within designated department
- Support all ISO/TS, IATF, APQP, FMEA, PFMEA Requirements
- Assures materials meet established criteria and reports exceptions
- Operation of Metallurgical laboratory equipment to perform sample evaluations
- Conduct Appropriate testing using the application of measurement system analysis (MSA)
- Administrative tasks including clear communication of production status, requirements, and problems to leadership
- Assist in maintaining and developing, presenting, and maintaining standard operating procedures and work instructions
Required Skills and Education
- Completed Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required (focus on Materials Sciences Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical engineering preferred)
- Previous experience in a Metallurgical role
- Basic understanding of Quality Systems (IATF 16949 and CQI9).
- Proficient in the use of metallurgical lab equipment.
