    We are seeking a NASHVILLE based OTC RECONCILIATION ANALYST to join our RECONCILIATION TEAM in DERIVATIVE OPERATIONS. The Reconciliation Analyst will be an escalation point reviewing exceptions identified by the custody reconciliation teams and from the counterparty/accounting reconciliation system. The Analyst will specifically be responsible for OTC trade reconciliation working closely with our derivative middle office, derivative settlement and custody cash reconciliation teams while liaising daily with our counterparties. In addition to resolving reconciliation differences, the role will be responsible for identifying and designing solutions within the infrastructure to address the root cause of these exceptions identified. This position will report to the manager of the OTC Reconciliation team within the Derivative Operations Department. DESCRIBE THE APPLICATIONS AND BUSINESS OR ENTERPRISE FUNCTIONS THE ROLE SUPPORTS: The role broadly supports all strategic business units use of OTC and Exchange traded derivatives within AB. The ideal candidate will use several application to carry out their responsibilities including: Calypso Clareti Transaction Control Reconciliation System TriResolve THE KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Ensure all aspects of custody, counterparty and accounting reconciliations are carried out in a timely manner
    • Resolve reconciliation differences identified by the counterparty, bank, and/or reconciliation team(s)
    • Respond to ad-hoc inquiries in a timely manner
    • Provide metrics and root cause analysis to understand where and why reconciliation exceptions are created
    • Coordinate with project management teams to introduce systematic workflows, enhancements and straight thru processing to mitigate future reconciliation exceptions

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS (The ideal candidate should have the following): QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION: The ideal candidate should have a degree in finance, economics or another relevant discipline. 1-3 years experience supporting middle office functions related to OTC and/or Listed Derivatives on the sell-side or buy-side is required. Our Reconciliation Analysts typically have track records of outstanding professional performance or academic achievement, along with excellent analytical skills and financial skills as well as strong communication skills. Candidates should have a strong ability to work in a collaborative environment and to present results to both expert and non-expert audiences. Our Reconciliation analysts will use Bloomberg, ICE, Markit, DTCC and Calypso extensively so a thorough understanding of these tools is required. SKILLS:
