    POSITION

    OBJECTIVE:

    Manage the design, development, communication, training and administration of employee benefit and compensation plans within the US and Canada while maintaining competitive value and cost. Maintain a competitive edge with various benefits Including various pension, savings, group insurance, wellness program and other company benefits and related Human Resources policies and procedures. Conform with all applicable laws and Company requirements. Provide timely and accurate reporting to ABF as needed

    Compensation Programs

    Prepare salary ranges and recommend adjustments to midpoint, geographical salary range differences, etc.

    Oversee annual merit increase process in conjunction with leadership team and facility management (including development, training and coordination with payroll systems).

    Review/recommend incentive remuneration.

    Market price individual and/or group positions.

    Review and integrate job evaluation system in compensation program.

    Gather, analyze and report results for global program.

    Pension & Savings Plans

    Maintain the qualified status of all plans, including regulatory changes and approvals.

    Develop and maintain Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary Annual Reports, all related employee communications, administration manuals and policies.

    Process all pension benefit payments through Plan Trustees.

    Manage the reporting and year-end Plan accounting and audits including scheduling of audits and financial reporting.

    Ensure contributions are made timely

    Conduct and manage plan valuations.

    Ensure all governmental reports and filings are accurately and timely made.

    Manage the benefit integration of new employees through acquisition and severing of benefits through divestitures/closures.

    Seek and propose innovative changes to the plans as appropriate.

    Implement amendments to the various plans, when necessary.

    Act as a liaison between operating divisions and service firms as needed.

    Group Insurance Plans

    Maintain the "qualified" status of all plans, including regulatory changes and approvals.

    Develop and maintain Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary Annual reports, all related employee communications, administration manuals and policies.

    Ensure all governmental reports and filings are accurately and timely made.

    Implement amendments to the various plans, when necessary.

    Manage the benefit integration of new employees through acquisition and severing of benefits through divestitures/closures.

    Manage and analyze annual Plan renewals.

    Act as liaison between operating divisions and insurers and administrative service providers as needed.

    Wellness Program

    Develop and implement wellness initiatives to support the strategy of maintaining a healthy workforce throughout ABMNA.

    Communications around wellness initiatives.

    Build a community of Wellness Champions responsible for the success of the wellness program in each location.

    Seek and implement creative and innovative solutions that build interest within the ABMNA community.

    Maintain relationship with wellness program provider and collaborate on direction of the program.

    Other Benefit Programs

    Develop general benefit-related Human Resources policies for the US and Canadian Operations, including leave, entitlement and wellness programs.

    Liaison with other departments/divisions in administering and coordinating benefit programs and pay.

    Communicate and manage various benefit programs.

    Manage the Wellness Program in conjunction with Payroll and the EHS Departments.

    Training and Development

    Develop and/or administer training programs as needed.

    Reporting

    Maintain timely and accurate reporting to local, state and federal governments as needed.

    Provide reporting to ABMNA leaders and ABF leaders as requested.

    Other

    Meet all administrative needs for ABMNA and related divisions, including claims issue resolution, new hire orientation, termination of benefits, enrollments and communications.

    Lead the Matching Gifts program and other philanthropic initiatives.

    Contribute to the ESG agenda within ABMNA.

    Other duties as assigned

    A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, finance or related field.

    5-10 years' experience in design, administration and analysis of compensation and benefit plans, including working knowledge of the legal implications surrounding qualified benefit plans.

    3-5 years general Human Resource experience.

    General knowledge of Canadian benefit systems.

    Excellent computer/data skills.

    Excellent interpersonal skills.

    Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.

    OTHER FACTORS

    Occasional travel to parts of US and Canada (approximately 10%).

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    General office environment with limited exposure to manufacturing facility.
