    POSITION OVERVIEW:   We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at Tinker, Air Force Base, which is located near Oklahoma City, OK.  In this role you’ll support wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in networking engineering and operational support. 

    PAY AND BENEFITS:

    • You’ll earn an hourly rate between $33.50 and $35.10

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement.
    • Analyze and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
    • Analyze and develop telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services. Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyzes the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported.
    • Define the problem and develops system requirements and network specifications.
    • Closely coordinate with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services. In conjunction with functional users, develops alternative solutions and backup plans.

     EXPERIENCE NEEDED:   

    • Three (3) years of network engineering experience to include experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of; Experience may be used to substitute for degree
    • Must have DoD IAT Level II or III certification such as CompTia Security Plus CE
    • Must also have one of the following networking related certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCSE NGX, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSE, ESE

    DOD SECURITY:

    • Must be US Citizen
    • Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance
