POSITION OVERVIEW:  We’re hiring for a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA.  In this position you’ll become part of a technically diverse team to include but not limited to Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Professionals.  Together this team provides IT Operations and Support to FLETC which is responsible for training Law Enforcement Professionals from over 90 different agencies.  

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, configure, update and program the Land Mobile Radios (LMR) both Conventional and Trunking; Motorola XTS/XTL Series (Old) and the Motorola APX 6000,7000 and 8000 Series (New).
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 LMR support
• Programming Motorola (APX Family) radios
• Configure radio trunking systems
• Enter tickets into and monitor the the HEAT system

SECURITY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

• Must have High School Diploma
• Two year of experience working in a Technical Support capacity
• Knowledge and familiarity with Land Mobile Radios
