● Prepare job site for directional drilling, including digging with a shovel ● Preform daily maintenance on job site equipment and vehicles ● Ensure proper bore rig set-up ● Mark the burial path for new jobs with white flags/paint, upload photos to smartsheets

● Demonstrate good judgment in the field ● Work as a team in tandem with the crew foreman and other crew members ● Perform all duties adhering to company safety procedures and policies

Directional Driller Operator

Operates Directional Drill for installation of underground cable conduit.

Ensures safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities.

Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.

Setup and cleanup of work site including traffic and pedestrian control.

Reads utility locates.

Ensures all applicable permits and locates are complete on site.

Inspects the work that is in progress to ensure that the workmanship conforms to specifications.

Operates construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.

Operates vehicles and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified.

Performs proper maintenance by greasing, oiling, and making minor repairs on equipment.

Assist crew in daily task of excavation, trenching and installation efforts.

Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service and timeliness in daily operations.

Operate and maintain construction equipment and assigned vehicles.

Locate/stake work areas prior to digging.
