We are looking for a full-time real estate accounting centered expert to join our expanding team! You'll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring that each account is reconciled correctly. Providing reporting on property management and construction projects. Responsibilities: • Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate • Post detailed journal entries to the general ledger to streamline the reconciliation process • Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly • Complete other accounting tasks as needed to assist the real estate team • Stay on top of any needed collections and make sure our bills are paid on time • Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for • Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing checks, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary • Ensure all records are ready for monthly and quarterly reporting Qualifications: • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks • Experience in real estate industry preferred • Able to write to and speak with vendors and clients effectively • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Appfolio knowledge a plus • Working with rental portfolios for at least 5 years is strongly preferred Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000
