Job description
Abria Detox is a newly established, private facility offering 24/7 detoxification and withdrawal management services. We specialize in treating individuals who have substance use as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. Our facility has 20 beds and serves both male and female patients aged 18 and older.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve in an on-call, remote capacity for our Detox and Withdrawal Management Program. This unique role is designed for an NP with specialized expertise in addiction medicine and detoxification processes, offering remote support and guidance to our nursing staff. The ideal candidate will provide clinical decision-making, patient assessment advice, and medication management strategies to ensure high-quality care for patients undergoing detoxification and withdrawal from substances.
Responsibilities:
Serve as an on-call, remote clinical resource for nursing staff, providing expert guidance on patient assessments, withdrawal symptom management, and emergency situations.
Recommend medication management and adjustments based on patient symptoms and progress, adhering to evidence-based practices.
Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct remote patient assessments when necessary, ensuring continuity of care and supporting the nursing team in decision-making.
Provide education and support to nursing staff on the latest practices and protocols in detoxification and withdrawal management.
Collaborate remotely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in addiction medicine and patient care.
Participate in case reviews and team meetings via teleconference or videoconference, contributing to the development and improvement of the program.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical advice and consultations provided to nursing staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current national board-certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or a Physician Assistant
DEA license or ability to obtain at hire, and enrollment in Controlled Substance Monitoring Program.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for healthcare providers
