Created by chef and bestselling author Ayesha Curry, Sweet July is a hub for all things lifestyle, with a quarterly magazine covering an array of topics including food, wellness, beauty, faith, style, female empowerment, and entrepreneurship. From recipes and kitchen tips to interviews and testimonials, we are a destination for daily inspiration.

    WE RECENTLY OPENED THE DOORS TO OUR FIRST RETAIL STORE AND CAFÉ. Nestled in West Oakland, Sweet July features thoughtfully curated products for the self and home, focusing on impeccable quality at an affordable price. Our new shop is designed to excite and inspire, while also providing space to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a slice of Ayesha's signature bread pudding.

    POSITION DETAILS: SALES ASSOCIATE 

    REPORTING TO: Store Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Help to create happy and loyal customers by providing exceptional service to customers to include: 

    • Greet, engage, and assist to create a unique experience
    • Develop solutions for customers by listening to their needs and recommending appropriate products 
    • Expanding sales revenues thru product knowledge and achieving sales goals
    • Assisting to keep the sales floor area clean, full, and organized at all times
    • Utilize the company's POS system to cash customers out or administer returns.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma/GED required
    • 2+ years' customer service experience preferred
    • Ability to work well on a team with a passion for helping others
    • Flexible schedule/willing to work weekends and holidays
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
