The Madison Downtown AC is searching for a General Manager!

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement the day-to-day operations of the hotel

Oversee hotel staffing to include recruitment & selection, orientation, training & development, scheduling, counseling, performance management and other employee relations issues

Craft the budget for the hotel to include sales, marketing, operations and a strategic revenue management plan

Lead the property management team to ensure that product and service quality standards are maintained

 Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to maintain standards set forth by company and hotel brand

 Maintain personal contact with guests, clients, and community organizations

 Ensure safety and security of the hotel, staff and guests and responding to all emergency situations

Remain current on industry trends and local market activities

What are we looking for?

College degree or at least five years of related work experience in business management, hospitality or related field

Management experience working at a Marriott Brand Hotel

Strong customer service skills to include problem-solving and complaint resolution

Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organized

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Reliability and honesty

Teamwork and cooperation
