    Job Description

    The Opportunity

    As a Benefits Specialist you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.

    What you’ll do:

    • Responsible for administering various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
    • Maintain employee benefit files in the HRIS and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately for payroll deduction.
    • Partnering with insurance brokers and plan carriers when needed.
    • Serves as the primary contact for benefit related questions and tasks.
    • Participate in new hire orientations by informing employees about benefit programs.
    • Participates in the research and evaluation of benefit programs to determine the best benefit packages for the workforce.
    • Mediates between benefit providers and employees by assisting with employee’s benefit related questions.
    • Helps manage the open enrollment process by assisting with the configuration of the HRIS, conducting informational webinars, and reviewing new enrollment materials.
    • Reconciles all benefit invoices to ensure accuracy of charges and fees.
    • Facilities 401(k) annual audit and provides necessary documents to auditors.
    • Review the benefits compliance calendar to ensure adherence with regulatory requirements, including governmental reporting deadlines and required notices.
    • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations such as ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
    • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives.

    To qualify for the role you must have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required – major or concentration in human resources preferred.
    • Five years of related benefits experience
