    We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Project Portfolio Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage the IT portfolio management process, ensuring it operates effectively and smoothly. This role encompasses many responsibilities, including project intake, prioritization, portfolio planning, resource capacity planning, risk management, value management, optimization, communication, reporting, analytics, project monitoring, phase-gate processes, and governance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage IT Portfolio Process: Ensure the IT portfolio management process runs effectively and smoothly, covering all key areas:

    Project Intake

    Project Prioritization

    Portfolio Planning

    Resource Capacity Planning

    Portfolio Risk Management

    Portfolio Value Management

    Portfolio Optimization

    Portfolio Communication

    Portfolio Reporting and Analytics

    Project Monitoring

    Project Phase-Gate

    Portfolio Governance

    Design and implement new or improved processes to enhance portfolio management capabilities based on the service provider's needs.

    Basic Qualification:

    5+ years of IT Portfolio Management experience.

    7+ years of experience in project management and/or project delivery accountability.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Visio, and SharePoint is required.

    Familiarity with Microsoft Project Online Project Portfolio Management (PPM) or similar PPM software.

    Excellent and persuasive oral and written communication skills, with strong executive presentation abilities

    Proven experience managing an IT project portfolio with a size and complexity similar to the County’s technology environment.

    Familiarity with the functioning of a Project Management Office (PMO).

    Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is mandatory.

    Preferred Qualification:

    Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or similar certification is preferred.
