Sales Rep (NE, IA, KS, MO) - Ag General Contractor
Job Description
A growing general contractor that is a leader in the agricultural business building enclosure systems for cattle, hog, and chicken livestock is looking for a Territory Sales Rep with experience in building relationships with farmers for new construction, repairs, and upgrades of containment facilities.
The territory is NE, IA, KS, and MO and entails 100% sales, meeting with farmers (customers) to survey facilities, determine expectations, provide solutions, make proposals, and close sales. Estimating and oversight of project installation is handled by a project and CSR group.
It allows for working from home, traveling to customers in the territory, on average 5 overnight per month (depending on shows), and includes company truck, gas card, and reimbursement of expenses.
The job involves learning and understanding farmers' costs with owning, operating, and maintaining farming facilities.
The ideal candidate has solid sales skills having sold on-site to farmers, has the ability to plan, coordinate schedule, and is ok with cold calling.
REQUIREMENTS:
Products sold: Building enclosure containment systems for livestock (cattle, hog, chicken)
Location: Work from home / Remote, travel within territory, requiring some overnight travel averaging 5 nights/month
Territory: NE, IA, KS, MO
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary plus $30,000 - $40,000 commission potential by end-of-second year, totaling $90,000 - $110,000
