    WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SYSTEMS SOFTWARE DEVELOPER TO JOIN OUR PLEASANTON, CA OFFICE!

    The position requires the individual to work closely with our Systems Software Engineers to develop and deploy Sunbelt standard databases in the most effective and efficient manner possible. This role also requires the individual to have the strong technical ability to read and program complicated sequences of operation and be able to present the system in an easy to navigate user experience. This position also requires a high level of experience with computer hardware and a strong understanding of industry standard operating systems, including network protocols and IT/OT infrastructure. Additionally, this role is responsible for the design and implementation of our customers’ controls local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) as well as internet connected systems to ensure safe and secure access for customer and sunbelt service personnel. This position is to be the bridge between building automation, Operational Technology, and Information Technology. Intimate knowledge of network equipment and architecture (managed switches, routers, VLANS) is a must. This position is required to closely interact with the Project Manager and any assigned Project Engineering staff to assist with the timely and successful completion of each project or pre-sales activities.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?  • Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions so they are scalable, repeatable and easy to deploy

    • Work directly with senior Systems Software Engineers to find efficiencies in the commissioning process

    • Supports the troubleshooting of local and wide area network issues as they arise

    • Develop, implement and maintain cloud-based “Software as a service” environment

    • Be the technical interface between the customers IT team and Sunbelt Controls

    • Provide technical training for coworkers on development and maintain code libraries

    • Develop, implement and maintain new software tools to increase efficiency by leveraging technology

    • Responsible for attending required field project coordination meetings and commissioning meetings as required by the assigned projects • Responsible for the systematic turnover of the project from the design phase to field commissioning team on all assigned projects.

    • Assists Design engineering team with OT/IT hardware development against contract requirements

    • Coordinates with project staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs including time sheets, daily reports, etc.

    • Manages development time and budgets relative to the work of assigned projects

    • Communicates effectively with other team members regarding project issues, obstacles, and information needs.

    • Attends and successfully completes the OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety training classes

    • Responsible for practicing safe work habits and participates in office safety program requirements and that of any specific safety requirements of all assigned projects

    • Responsible for coaching, mentoring and development of junior level Systems Software Engineers

    • Provides pre-sales support to the Project Management/Sales team as required

    • Supports the Technical Services Manager in additional internal administrative activities as necessary

    WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A PART OF THIS ALL STAR TEAM?  • Associates degree in a technical field or 6-10 years of related work experience in building automation systems and/or industrial control systems programming.  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred • Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment.

    • Has the ability to operate independently and autonomously and yet possesses the discretionary judgment to know when it’s appropriate to consult with others in the organization and Project Manager. • Must possess a valid California driver’s license.

    • Ability to execute their work to ensure high customer satisfaction and the highest quality deliverable.

    • Demonstrates an ability to delegate basic and/or “stretch” tasks to less experienced staff and assign resource correctly to diagnose/address issues.

    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are a requirement of this position.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand, use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, talk and hear.

    • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, along with the ability to climb up and down ladders• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

    • Ability to climb up and down the ladder.

    • The employee must possess the ability to navigate the complexities of a construction site while working on site and practicing site safety requirements and policies of the Company site and practicing the site safety requirements and policies of the Company.
