Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled accountant/receptionist to join our busy repair shop. As an accountant/receptionist, you will greet customers when they enter, answer phones, schedule work, text or email with clients as well as perform payroll, tax preparation a general accounting in QuickBooks.
As an accountant you must be proficient with QuickBooks,
The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
Manage accounts receivable and payable
Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and payroll
Prepare and assist with monthly financial reports and tax filings
Track expenses and handle petty cash
Work closely with management on budgeting and cost control
Reception/Administrative Duties:
Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone
Schedule appointments and maintain the shop calendar
Process customer payments and issue receipts
Maintain organized customer records and work orders
Handle general administrative tasks, including filing, emails, and mail
Qualifications
Previous experience in accounting/bookkeeping (QuickBooks experience preferred)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Friendly and professional demeanor
Experience in a customer service or receptionist role is a plus
Automotive industry experience is a bonus but not required
