ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT  
An exciting opportunity is available for an individual who is eager to learn and develop their skills as an Accounting Assistant. We are looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable, and ready to grow with the company. This role provides exposure to a variety of responsibilities and the chance to be part of a collaborative team.

Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and assisting in audit and tax-related processes. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient financial operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices; schedule, track, make, and post payments; manage accruals and prepaids; reconcile payable accounts; maintain organized records. 
- Accounts Receivable: Record receivables, reconcile customer accounts, and maintain accurate records. 
- Reconcile complex bank and credit card accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies. 
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and preparation of journal entries. 
- Support quarterly and annual audit requirements. 
- Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed. 
- Post daily, weekly, and quarterly tax payments; reconcile tax accounts. 
- Assist in organizing state tax filings and resolving discrepancies or outstanding notices. 
- Participate in special projects as assigned. 
- Collaborate with other members of the accounting team and deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting a plus. 
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience required. 
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. 
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Prism, and Master Tax a plus.
