    POSITION STATUS: Full-time, salaried position

     

    LOCATION: San Francisco Bay Area preferred; will consider remote. The team is currently located in San Francisco, Orange County, and the east coast.

     

    ABOUT ACE RESOURCE NETWORK:

     

    The ACE Resource Network is a philanthropically funded national organization whose mission it is to raise awareness of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and work with others to prevent and lessen the harms associated with ACEs and childhood adversity. In 2021, the ACE Resource Network launched the first national public awareness and education campaign on ACEs. Called THE STORY OF YOUR NUMBER, the campaign and resource hub - NumberStory.org - provides information, resources, and shares strategies to prevent ACEs, address their effects, and support healing at individual, community, and system levels. We work to connect a powerful network of amazing scientists, medical professionals, organizations, and individuals to prevent ACEs.

     

    THE POSITION:

    The K-12 Education Specialist will identify, prospect, develop, manage, and maintain robust and impactful partnerships between the ACE Resource Network and K-12 education partners to support the goals of the ACE Resource Network.

     

    The candidate must be knowledgeable about ACEs and strategies to prevent and lessen harms associated with ACEs. The candidate must be knowledgeable about K-12 education systems in the United States. The position is successful when they:

     

    1.     Combine their knowledge of ACEs and K-12 education systems to develop the K-12 education partnership strategy for the ACE Resource Network.

    2.     Develop partnerships that lead to increased ACE awareness and demand for trauma-informed systems.

    3.     Manage and execute on multiple strategies, tactics, deliverables, and timelines simultaneously.

    4.     Serve as the primary point of contact both externally and internally for K-12 education.

    5.     Participate to develop key metrics and goals, and then achieve those results.

    6.     Track the latest developments in K-12 education and ACEs.

    7.     Exercise critical judgement to determine the best partnerships to achieve the ACE Resource Network’s goals.

    8.     Identify potential solutions when faced with challenges and obstacles.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    We strongly encourage people directly impacted by childhood adversity to apply. We are also seeking candidates who have the following skills and backgrounds:

     

    ·      Deep understanding of ACEs

    ·      Experience working in K-12 education settings and understanding of K-12 education systems

    ·      Experience developing partnerships with education partners

    ·      Understanding of prevention and intervention strategies

    ·      Experience managing complex projects and teams while maintaining high standards of quality and responsiveness

    ·      Strong writing, editing, and verbal skills
