RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is primarily responsible for providing social work services in patient care areas of Northern Montana Hospital, Dialysis Unit, and Bear Paw Hospice. Is responsible for direction and coordination of Bear Paw Hospice bereavement and volunteer programs, provides supervision of hospice volunteers. REQUIREMENTS MSW degree from an accredited graduate school
2 years of post-graduate experience in a medical setting and current clinical license to practice in the State of Montana
LCSW is preferred
Knowledge in the principles and practices of social work
The ability to work effectively with professional and allied personnel as well as with related services and agencies
Knowledge and skills in counseling
Must be organized and proficient in completing documentation
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to communicate with culturally diverse population in non-judgmental and therapeutic manner
Knowledge of age-specific physiological norms, safety, abuse reporting and procedural issues
