We are looking for an inside sales person for its Kansas City Branch. For 50 years, our client has served as a distributor and fabricator for manufacturing, agricultural, construction, retail and other industrial markets nationwide from multiple locations. Our sales people partner with prospects and customers to develop long term relationships, generate additional sales and resolve problems. They estimate smaller projects and consequently must have good math skills and be able to read plans and drawings. They also provide project management and accounting support to ensure accurate execution and billing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare quotations. Read drawings and estimate material and labor requirements.
• Provide customer service thru manufacturing cycle to meet customer expectations for quality and delivery.
• Interact with production or sales groups in other locations to complete orders
• Support activities of outside sales staff including entering sales and purchase orders into accounting system.
• Complete accounting process by Initiating billing as items ship. Filing and other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, & KNOWLEDGE:

• 5+ years prior industrial sales experience required
• Experience estimating custom products preferred
• Prefer two year college degree with emphasis in business or marketing
