    We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our team to help support and partner with the business. This position will be heavily involved with financial and operational activities and will collaborate with a wide array of functions, including R&D, Technical Operations/Manufacturing, and G&A. The position will support budgeting forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc reports. This is a great opportunity to influence and implement business processes that can scale as the company grows.

    Some of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with financial budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for functional departments
    • Provide variance analysis related to month-end close
    • Meet regularly with business partners to understand their current and planned activities to support month-end close and forecast cycles
    • Enhance Budget v Actual reporting packages, and support department leads with in-depth analysis
    • Review contract and capital expenditure requests to ensure they fall within the budget guidelines
    • Support/enhance processes and structure for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
    • Prepare and manage forecasting / annual budgeting requirements for functions; maintain and prepare financial models
    • Provide financial and analytical support to functional teams, including reporting of actual vs budget
    • Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management, including special projects / ad hoc financial analyses
    • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the business area and stay abreast with changing business requirements and assumptions
    • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance field
    • 4-6 years experience in a similar role required
    • Prior experience in the medical device/biotechnology industry preferred

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Superior Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
    • Sound understanding of accounting principles and finance
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to a non-technical audience
    • Well-organized and strong attention to detail
    • Experience with Business Intelligence, Planning, and ERP (SAP) systems is preferred
