ACS Industrial Services is looking to add a Purchasing Agent to our team at the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project in Tonopah, NV! Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.

**Duties & Responsibilities: **

• Create and Maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Ensure that the products and supplies meet QA/QC Qualifications
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
• Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
• Track and record orders.
• Prepare Purchase Orders
• Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Compare suppliers’ invoices with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy for payment
• Handle deliveries with short or over-ordered products, goods not received, or damaged items with Vendors
• Obtain all required purchase approvals before purchase order is sent to suppliers/vendors
• Ensure all requesters are following proper procedures on request forms
• Fill out credit applications to open new vendor accounts
• Obtain all final signatures on required purchase orders
• Other duties as assigned
